The day, as they ran it
  1. 8:15 am1
Longtail from Ao Nang beach to Railay WestKrabi

There is no timetable. The boat leaves when eight or nine people have paid, so an 08:15 crossing means being at the booth on the sand by 07:55. 100B each way, 150B after 18:00. You wade out and climb over the bow — anything that must stay dry goes in a dry bag before you queue, not after.

  2. 9 am2
Phra Nang Cave Beach and the fertility shrineKrabi

Ten minutes on the path south past Rayavadee and you are on it before the day-trip boats land at 10:30 — that one hour is the entire reason to go early. The cave at the far end is a working shrine: the carved wooden phalluses are offerings to the sea princess, not a photo prop. Free to walk on; bring cash, because the boat vendors are the only thing to buy from.

  3. 10:35 am3
Railay viewpoint, and the lagoon if it has not rainedKrabi

The trailhead is unmarked, on the path between Railay East and Phra Nang. It is not a hike — it is a rope-assisted haul up red clay with both hands. Viewpoint in about 20 minutes; the lagoon is another vertical 15 and turns into a slide after rain, so skip it outright if it rained overnight. Shoes with grip, nothing carried in your hands.

  4. 12:40 pm4
Lunch at Mama Chicken, on the Tonsai trailKrabi

The climbers' canteen behind Tonsai. Get there on the jungle path from Railay West in 15 minutes, or over the headland rocks in 20 if the tide is out — do not try the rocks on a rising tide. Massaman and grilled chicken, 100–150B, cash only.

    15 min walk · 1.1 km
  5. 2:15 pm5
Deep water solo, afternoon session out of Railay EastKrabi

Book in person at a shop on Railay East the day before rather than online — the session gets pulled on a big swell and you want to be able to walk in and ask a human. About 1,000B for the boat, the guide and the falling. No climbing experience needed; the only requirement is being genuinely happy to drop 6m into the sea.

    3 min walk · 200 m
  6. 5:15 pm6
Sundowner on the mats at Flame TreeKrabi

Railay West faces due west and Flame Tree puts Thai mats straight onto the sand in front of Walking Street. You pay roughly double the Railay East price for a beer here. Worth it exactly once, for the twenty minutes when the karst goes orange.

    10 min walk · 750 m
  7. 7 pm7
Dinner at The Last Bar, Railay EastKrabi

Cross the peninsula in six minutes and dinner costs a third less. Railay East is mangrove and mudflat, nobody swims there, and that is precisely why the food is honest — 150–350B before drinks. Open until 02:00 if the day is not finished.

    6 min walk · 450 m
  8. 8:50 pm8
Last boat back to Ao NangKrabi

After dark the crossing leaves from Railay East, not West, and costs 150B with the night surcharge. Boatmen stop gathering passengers around 22:00 — after that it is a 1,500B private charter or a bungalow you had not planned to pay for.
